Formed in 1986, the Bohemia Civic Association has become an integral part of the Bohemia, New York community.  Since that time, its volunteer members have worked to make and keep the Bohemia community a great place to live.

The Civic Association meets its goals of keeping the community informed on important issues and providing public service through the work of its committees.  Our Town of Islip, Fire Department, Police and School District Committees keep residents informed on key issues that impact our community and serve as liaisons to discuss the community’s needs with our local officials.  The Membership/Fundraising and Scholarship Committees work together to raise funds for the Civic Association’s annual scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating Connetquot High School senior who has demonstrated outstanding service to the community.  Our Beautification/Community Committee organizes local community beautification projects and neighborhood cleanups projects.  The Junior Civic Association offers local high school students the opportunity to learn more about civic responsibility and provides them with community service opportunities.

Membership in the Civic Association is open to all Bohemia and Connetquot residents over the age of 18, and our meetings are always open to the public.  We invite you to join us at our next meeting to learn about who we are and what we do.
